Solterra (http://www.cohousing.org/directory/view/2728) is -- a 40-lot, 60-member community in central North Carolina -- close to both Duke University and UNC Chapel Hill. -- with a big organic garden, -- next to 100 acres of woodlands secure from development -- enjoying a recent influx of 0-6 year-olds -- with some people who like to sing and dance -- and some people who are passionate about sustainability Due to retirements, job offers, marriages, etc, we currently have * One lot for sale * One lot owned by a builder who plans to build a spec house soon * One house nearly complete, but the owner-builder's wife got a great job, so they're selling; * Two houses that are for sale now or will come on the market in a year or so. Prices are in the $250K - $450K range. You'll want to visit, of course. We have dinner on Tuesday nights 5:30 - 7:00 (small donation requested, and let us know you're coming please); We have a potluck on Sunday nights at 6; We have a workday, second Saturday; We have happy hour first Fridays; And we can probably put you up for a couple of days.
