For a look at "Standardized Houses" in a condo model that have a lot  
of visual interest, check out this slide show of Rocky Hill (courtesy  
of our architect, Bruce Coldham). Bruce used angles between homes, and  
layout on the land, along with  very strong colors to create a lot of  
visual interest that hangs together pretty well (IMHO).

According to Bruce, color is a relatively inexpensive way to create  
visual interest. BTW, there are only 4 basic designs in RHC with a  
variety of add on modules and additions....
