Cohousing-L Mailing List: California not on cohousing map

Joani's message "Southern California needs Cohousing!"
got me to thinking about how the collaborative map of
cohousing communities:   http://tinyurl.com/cohomap
is quite lacking in California communities (there are only 5
California communities on the map).

There are currently 91 communities on the map.  I compared
the list of communities to those in the directory at
http://www.cohousing.org/directory/

The results of that comparison are at:

A summary of the results (each is a list on web page) :
1)  70 US communities in directory not "Forming", "Seeking" etc, not on
    map (by state)
2)  75 US communities in directory,    "Forming", "Seeking" etc, not on
    map (by state)
3) 147 US communities in directory, not on map (by state)
4) Consolidated US list of communites on map or in directory
5)  82 US communities on cohomap
6) 225 US communities in directory
7)  78 US communities in directory AND on map both
8)   2 US communities not in directory , on map
9)   9 Canadian cohousing communities on cohomap
10) 13  Canadian cohousing communities listed at http://cohousing.ca
11)  5 Canadian communities not on map
12)  1 Canadian community on map but not listed at http://cohousing.ca

I encourage people to people to add communities in regions they are
familiar with.
