Location of 3 cabbage trees - please confirm

Dear Walk to Work members in particular,

We need to find homes for 3 cabbage trees, and some of us are suggesting these
would look great on the eastern side of the driveway, in W2W land, just as the
swale curves away from the drive towards the head of the marsh. We have put
three stakes in.

Please can you consider if this is appropriate, given that :

- it is likely to be several years before any development begins
- the japanese cedar trees are likely to go when development begins
- cabbage trees cope well in ordinary soil conditions, or considerably
damper ones, so are adaptable if we adjust the location of the swale in the
future
- they would relate well to the other groups of cabbage trees near by, and
also to the proposed planting of a rimu south of the 4-carport area.
- if in the future they were found to be in the way, in the worst case they
could be removed

Do you think they would impede any plans for future development if they were
planted here?

Please can you have a look at the proposed location, and advise us all by
'Reply All' if you have any objections within the next few days.

Thanks

Cathy
