We also ran cable from one resident's house into the common house and  
hooked it up to a Video projector. Another resident always cooks a  
turkey in early November for what he calls "Early Thanksgiving" and he  
optimistically thought Nov 4 would be a good night for  it this year.  
He turned out to be right. We were so happy to have our kids, many of  
whom would not have watched this at home with their families, inspired  
to watch with us and feel the tremendous excitement in the room.

We are still hoping against hope that California's Prop 8 will go down  
but maybe this is the necessary next step to challenging it in the US  
Supreme Court. With any luck, by the time it gets there, the Court  
will have a majority which will strike down this injustice once and  
for all!!!
