Hallo,

We are the founders of the first cohousing in Belgium "la Grande Cense" and we
want to attend the annual cohousing conference and summit in June next year in
Seattle.

To keep our travelcosts down we are thinking of house swapping with someone in
the Seatlle area, by preference with somenone living in a cohousing.

We allready booked our flights and will arrive in Seattle the 4th of June and
leave the 28th. We have never been to America and want to take this
opportunity to also have a holiday and look around the beautiful countryside
and visit the cohousings in the area.

We live in a rather big house very near Brussels in the green suburbs, but also
living with us is my brother who will not be travelling with us but stay at
home. He is a very quiet person and will not be any trouble to house swappers,
I should imagine. He can also be of practical use for information of all kinds.
Our house also has a big garden and we can offer a car for use.

Brussels is a very enjoyable city. Bruges (1,5 hour by car or train), Ghent
(less than an hour), Amsterdam (3 hours) and even Paris (3 hours) are not too
far away. Germany is also near.

Meanwhile the construction of our cohousing continues. The first 5 homes will
be ready for moving in in July next year.
Our cohousing site is about 20 minutes drive from our present home. Nearly half
our members live not too far away and will be looking forward to meeting house
exchangers from other cohousings.

My husband is 57 years old and still working as a psychiatrist. I am 61 years
old and recently retired as a librarian. The children are grown up and left the
house.

Who wants to try and live like Belgians for one month?
Or maybe someone has other ideas for reduced lodging : let us know.

Many thanks in advance.
Kind regards,
Marie en Luc
