The discussion on cleaning out the fridge raises an important point for me. Here in Australia local governments are held legally to account if there are outbreaks of food poisoning. So, food handlers need a current certificate. So, even if you organise an event involving food, the expectation is that someone on the team will hold this certificate. My guess would be that this could also apply to a common house kitchen. What I've observed and experienced is that the food handling training changes perception of what is safe. Hans
