We don't have a formal process, but we try to review what constitutes a good reason for a block every so often for the whole group- the difference between thinking this is not the best way to do things and thinking that this will harm the community, and the difference between the decision you would make if no one else was involved but you can live with it, and a decision you feel you cannot live with. In practice, we have generally either addressed the objection successfully, or decided to postpone the decision for a while and see if we get new insights.
