I'll add a little more...

The 5 acre grounds of Tierra Nueva is absolutely beautiful, with the
winding paths, beautiful avocado trees throughout, custom art pieces
adorning many homes. Some area have expansive views and its a nice
place to be outdoors much of the year. They have some nicely crafted
out-door spaces to help residents take advantage of it.

During my stay, there was also a LOT of engagement amongst the
residents - Tierra Nuevans were interested in what I could share
during my 2 night visit this last fall. When visiting, I had many
conversations with individuals, small groups, and even via email -
both digital-only conversations and to set up meeting times. The
turn-out for a prepared slide-deck I gave was great compared to some
much larger communities. A number of people were clearly strong
supporters of the Cohousing Movement and it was interesting talking
with folks about why Cohousing matters.

The location, Oceano, is spectacular... its is right on the Pacific
Ocean and just 3 hours north of Los Angeles (in perfect traffic) The
nearby Paso Robles Cohousing, are the two Southern-most
(purpose-built) cohousing communities in California. Nice weather, the
Southern CA heat, buffered by proximity to the Pacific Ocean.
