After our first decade of co-functioning at Cobb Hill Cohousing in Hartland,
Vermont, we are all bravely plunging into a review of how we are organized
in relation to our co-owned resources (farmland and farm buildings, forest,
social community). One goal of this endeavor is to see whether our existing
system of separate land-using enterprises, "organically" founded by subsets
of residents and varying from successful commercial enterprises with
livelihood-providing intentions to smaller hobby-scale projects, add up to
what we could call holistic management.
We would benefit from knowing how other cohousing communities with a
commitment to sustainable land management through farming in particular are
organized.
Replies are welcome either on the listserve or directly to
jbush [at] together.net. Even just identifying yourself as part of a community
with an agricultural component would be helpful. Thanks!
