Dateline: Songaia, Sat, Jun 27 11:44pm After another full day at the old Architecture building (for the Saturday Plenary with Mark Lakeman), many breakout sessions in Gould Hall, and the Fundraising Banquet in the East Ballroom of the Husky Union Building - all at the University of Washington. Today was quite something. Lots of learning and lots of playing. Since its so fresh and I'm so tired, I'll just touch on the 2009 Fundraising Banquet. It was amazing as people came together to invest in the future of the cohousing movement. Our auctioneer, Kevin Benedict (also known as the Singing Auctioneer) helped us reach into our wallets to help support Coho/US and its work. Perhaps the most gratifying part of the evening for me was "Fund-a-Dream" Board member Eris Weaver told people about the 2009 Conference scholarships that we gave out to help more people attend this year's conference. At tonight's event, many people were very generous - we now know we'll be able to fund a number of partial scholarships for the 2010 Conference in Boulder, CO (June 16-20, 2010). For those attending the conference, thank you so much for your support. For those who couldn't make it this year, we hope to see you next year in Boulder. More about the conference content to come.
