Hot off the press! The current owners at Pacific Gardens have decided to
offer a $40,000 discount to the next purchaser of a unit.
We are looking for just one cohousing-supportive person or family to purchase a unit. This is a one-time, first-come, first-serve offer. Here is your chance to buy into our intentional community!
We have two 3-bedroom-and-den units, two 2-bedroom and-den units, two 2-bedroom units, and one 1-bedroom-and-den unit, ranging in price from $509,000 to $354,000.
For more information, please contact us at joinus [at] pacificgardens.ca <mailto:joinus [at] pacificgardens.ca>, or call us at 250 754-3060.
*Our Home is Becoming a Community!*We had a very exciting Christmas/New Year in Pacific Gardens. Our residents had Staff Christmas parties, a Solstice Celebration, lots of great food, dancing, karaoke, live music and wonderful fellowship. We have weekly movie nights, yoga, potlucks, ping pong games, chess, book club and lots of activity in the fully equipped exercise room, workshop, kids room and music room.
Pacific Gardeners created a wonderful Christmas which we enjoyed with friends. We loved using our new kitchen and Fagor Dishwasher that washes the dishes in 90 seconds. Strangely enough, we had no shortage of people who wanted to do the dishes!
*Options for living in Pacific Gardens Cohousing*We have a variety of options for ownership or residency at Pacific Gardens. Some of our current owners have jointly bought units and are renting them out. This has brought in a great mix of young families and University students.
Currently there are seven international students living in our community, who are happy to pay between $300-$500 each for shared accommodation.
It has been great for us to learn about their culture and for them to practice English. We all enjoyed a wonderful party to celebrate the Chinese New Year that the Chinese students hosted for our whole community. They taught us traditional cooking and after the yummy feast, we played lots of fun games.
Another option is to rent a unit in Pacific Gardens. It's a good way to find out what life is like in our intentional community, and whether cohousing is right for you, before you make a decision to buy or co-own a unit.
However, the $40,000 discount is only applicable to the next purchase of an unsold unit. *Pacific** **Gardens** Cohousing Community, **347 Seventh Street**, **Nanaimo** **BC** **V9R 1E3** *
