*Exciting News Update*




   - We’ve recently welcomed 3 new households and there is just 1 of one of
   our home types left!
   - We plan to submit our planning application in the next couple of weeks;
   see the website for our site design and home designs.
   - In January we (with 2 other local organisations) won a £500,000 Low
   Carbon Community Challenge (LCCC) grant to refurbish the mill
building,  install
   new solar panels, and develop a develop a community owned hydro-electric
   scheme!
   - Our new address / site name is 'Forge Bank'!

 *Joining*



Our next phase of recruitment has already started as the deadline is June 27
th for a decision on July 10th.  We welcome all applications and would
particularly encourage families and under 35’s and households who wish to
use workspace in the mill.  Please see the ‘join’ page for more information
and an application form to become a prospective member.



*Public Events*



Monthly site tours begin again this Sunday.  If you wish to meet us please
come to one of our public events;



16:15 *Mill tour** (by request)*

Members of the Commercial Development Group of the Cohousing Project will
show you round the Mill and help you to think about possibilities for your
business/organisation/office/workshop needs. Contact

2.45 for 3pm *Information afternoon* (Youth and Community Centre, Halton)

A brief presentation introducing the project and an opportunity to ask
questions and meet members.

Please contact us in advance if you would like us to provide a crèche for
this event (there is a children’s room booked).



Sunday May 23rd

12.45 for 1pm *Integration afternoon* (Gregson, Lancaster, prospective
members only)

An opportunity to find out a lot more detail about the project; how
decisions are made, where we have got to in the process, how to access
information, where and when we meet and socialise etc etc.  Please contact
us in advance if you would like us to provide a crèche for this event (there
is a children’s room booked).
