Cohousing-L Mailing List: Re: meals clean-up

Here at FrogSong, we don't do separate sign-ups for cooking and cleaning.
One three-person team does it all (although occasionally some folks swap out
doing half). This way there is incentive for cooks to clean as they go; and
our commercial dishwasher is FAST. Eaters are supposed to bus their dishes
but often the cooks will come get them as folks are still chatting.  We WANT
people to sit and chat, right?

Typically for a 6:00 pm dinner I'll be in the kitchen by 3 or 4 (depending
on the complexity of the  meal) and be done with cleanup by 8:00. Long day,
but I only have to do it once a month - and get to eat 3-4 times a week!
