In regards to the Association's commitment to a contract with the
hotel and the mutual commitment of the Association and many of the
associated members to achieve our vision and goals by working our way
through discussion to achieve a mutually agreeable consensus, it
appears to me that the UNITE HERE principles are quite contradictory
to the principles of the Association.

If the UNITE HERE organization insists that it remain adamantly &
unequivocally opposed to working a path through mediation towards any
improvement of the labor situation for its members short of taking
total control of the hotel business, then I cannot support it
personally and I fully support Craig's and Lisa's position as
presented in the referenced hyperlink.

I look forward to seeing you all at the Sheraton Crystal City Hotel in
June.
