My friend lives in DC and these were her suggestions without knowing budget, 
etc.

I love random questions, so I am glad you thought about me to hook your friend 
up with some delicious food: Old Town Deli, 703-836-8028, a family owned 
restaurant with a Greek slant on Washington St.  They can provide any thing 
from breakfast foods, sandwiches, salads to Greek specialties.  I am sure they 
would be happy to customize a menu for your friend's conference.  Another place 
to try if they just want sandwiches, wraps, etc. is Tropical Smoothie, 
703-299-8325.  If they want a fancier taste, I would recommend Bittersweet 
Cafe, 703-549-2708.
