"[Warehouse or office buildings] are much better built than apartment
buildings, which just get thrown up."

Urp.

It seems an appropriate visual image; the design and construction of some
apartment buildings are indeed hard to stomach.

While we were landscaping, along about the fifth or sixth large amorphous
chunk of cement I found buried, where the contractor had emptied their mixer
onto the ground after a pour and then shoved dirt over top, I started
referring to these as "contractor coproliths." For those unfamiliar with
geological terminology, coproliths are fossilized dung.
