HELP WANTED: LIVE-IN HOUSEKEEPER & COMPANION At Pioneer Valley Cohousing, Amherst, MA Quiet retired woman living in dynamic cohousing community in rural college town seeks a mature female full-time (24/7) live-in housekeeper and companion to join her ongoing caregiving team. Duties can include: Meal preparation and clean up; setting out medications several times per day; a variety of personal care tasks such as assistance with bathing, exercise, outdoor walks; home management; regular house cleaning; food shopping; laundry; coordinating appointments and visitors; transport for medical visits, shopping, and other errands; playing important communication role among doctors, members of care team, family and community. Required: Some extended care-giving experience or training; good communication skills; vegetarian and natural foods cooking skills; mature resourceful problem-solving ability; female; quiet; respectful; well-organized; very responsible; licensed driver with car; non-smoking. Preferred: Middle-aged; native English speaker; single; desire for and interest in community living; love of nature and outdoors; familiarity with Amherst and Hampshire County. Compensation: Starting at $1800/month, depending on experience. This includes: second floor two room suite (partially furnished or not), own bathroom, heat & utilities, internet, parking, laundry facilities, voluntary involvement in open community activities.
