It helps in convincing people that just because you all love each other and have drinks together and serve tea at team meetings doesn't mean you are right or that you represent community views or that the community should adopt your views. It only means that you all love each other and have drinks together and serve tea at team meetings. Trust and lack of conflict are highly suspect as measures of good ideas.
