I don't think a diversity of options is likely to harm the movement.  Different 
strokes for different folks, it's not a one size fits all world. There will 
always be plenty of seniors like me who prefer multi-generational communities 
to senior only housing.  In fact most people I know my age, 68, would not want 
to live in a senior only environment, Cohousing or not.
