The tone of your message feels like taking relish in vetoing decisions, and 
refusing to address the difference between a veto and an objection.

The reasons you give for vetoing are valid reasons for objecting to a proposal 
— it's illegal, it affects you negatively, and it compromises your ability to 
do your job. Objections on this basis would require resolution before you could 
consent. But if you refuse to discuss resolution, then you are vetoing and not 
being helpful.
