Greetings from Arcadia Cohousing in North Carolina,

I'm here for the FIC 25th Anniversary Celebration. I've known of the FIC
and its wonderful work since 1993, when they held an organizational meeting
at my community, Songaia Cohousing.

We've begun gathering videos of people with FIC connections - check out the

Here's a link to the first round of congratulatory videos for the FIC
anniversary. These will be played in NC at the official celebration.

Have a few minutes to make a video this week to send in to add to the
party?  They are easy for me to edit and upload, so through Friday I can do
this for as many videos which are sent to me-- .mov format best. Take your
camera around your community and ask people what community means to them,
and to send congrats to the FIC!

We'll also run these videos at Art of Community, so *please spread the word*
to send them in to events [at] ic.org from now til Sept.! After all, this whole
year is the FIC's anniversary!

If you haven't yet seen the invitation we sent to communities to hold house
parties in celebration of the FIC's first 25 years, go here for more info: *

this spring/summer to share stories about community, talk about the FIC's
great resources with folks who may not be aware of what all we do, make
some videos, and discuss ways to support Art of Community. For example-
take up a collection to cooperatively finance a representative to attend
the event, send in auction donations, and/or donate to our scholarship
