Hello all --

Mercifully, today is Election Day.

If, like most of us, you struggle with governance and decision making
(especially around consensus) these last 4 years (2 years for most of the
country -- 4 years if you live in the DC area) of non-stop campaigning stand as
an example of: "who thought this up?"

We think wistfully of a time when people treated each other better, when there
weren't these shenanigans of voter suppression, vote buying, fraud, etc. etc.
We YEARN for a time we never grew up in. We are mournful we don't live in that
glorious past of honesty and integrity around the most American of
institutions: voting.

If you feel consensus is a struggle you'd rather do without, if you're annoyed
or despairing about voting ... here's a great piece from NPR's "Backstory."
It aired this past Sunday here in the DC area on WAMU.

What's voting REALLY been like in the history of the US? This episode is
educational, informative and entertaining. It may change your view of our
historical past in voting. It may just change your thoughts about consensus.

Or not...

Have fun!! And don't forget ... vote early-vote often.

Your vote could count. And count. And count. And count ...
