The Cohouseholding Project recently made Portland, Oregon our fifth center of research - I can attest that, in addition to cohousing, Portland is also rich in high-function shared households. The Cohouseholding Project http://cohouseholding.org Building on the success of the cohousing community MODEL, we're defining a more sustainable model for shared households. Cohouseholds work well and are more attractive to mature adults than typical shared households. On a personal level, I'm fortunate to enjoy the benefits of both cohouseholding and cohousing, as our cohousehold is part of the larger Songaia cohousing community. FYI: our work is a program of the Fellowship for Intentional Community, a 501(c)3 - supporting contributions are tax deductible.
