Google Sites is a wiki that is WYSIWYG. Our least technologically friendly
residents love it.

For record keeping and information storage it can't be beat. We keep all our
facilities information in it. Fabulously easy to use and organize. I put up a
demo site a few years ago. You can store attachments, etc.

It's worth setting up a site of you own to see what it can do. So far, this has
been our most successful venture into record keeping software.

We use YahooGroups extensively BUT first they decided to delete all the
attachments off out 3,000+ messages and then lately, have begin redesiging
things so you never know from one day to the next if anything works. Or how it
works.

Yesterday someone reported that they have started requiring you to set up an
email account to register for groups. I haven't checked that out yet but if so,
it will be a nightmare. I moderate too many groups to spend time explaining
that to people-- or apologizing for it.
