Cohousing-L Mailing List: HoA assessment liens - California

Our 28 home cohousing community is organized as a California condominium
with a Homeowners' Association ("HoA") . The officers of the Board of
Directors / the HoA is looking for a California-licensed attorney to guide
us on imposing valid, effective HoA assessment liens.

We have a couple of owners who seem habitually to be late payers. We have
one owner being foreclosed upon by the mortgage holder.

Preferably the attorney will be in central California, since we are in
Fresno, but right now we need names/ recommendations and thus we will
consider any California attorney or firm....

Any thoughts you have about California processes pertaining to HoAs are
welcome, even if you have no attorney to recommend.
