Cohousing-L Mailing List: Assisted living and CoHousing

Posted query about nursing homes and CoHousing a few days ago. Realize 
"assisted living" is the more accurate term. Both terms may be too medicalized 
and therefore inaccurate. I guess what I'm wondering is do any of you who live 
in a coho community (as I am soon to be doing) notice ways your fellow cohos 
need/ask for assisted living help from your community? Assisted living, 
according to Gawande's text, means independence with an awareness of "changing 
conditions ahead."
