That is fantastic news -- thanks for letting everyone know! I wish you
the best as you move toward building. And, please keep the list updated
on how it's going, especially as regards management and governance
issues. There are a number of us involved with smaller projects than the
cohousing standard. We have learned a lot from this list (and the
resources provided by contributors), but may learn even more from a
smaller scale project. Thanks again!
(I'd be on your list this morning if I still had a job in the Charlottesville area. That neighborhood is so well located. Here in the Harrisonburg-Rockingham area we have had a few efforts at trying to get a full-scale cohousing project going, but no success yet.)

I have exciting news to share: there is a new cohousing development project in downtown Charlottesville! We are called Togather Cville <http://www.togathercville.com>, check out the website for our full story. The short version: we have a piece of property ready to develop into four homes, each with a rental apartment, and we have plans to build a shared common house as well. The Togather Cville team will manage the builder, architect, and land development process, and member-owners will contribute their visions to co-create the community they want to inhabit.
