Cohousing-L Mailing List: Rental Cohousing

Are there any examples of rental cohousing.  This would be one
owner/developer who builds cohousing units that are all rented to cohousers?

One of our former members of Louisville Artists Cohousing in Colorado is
now developing a piece of property in Erie, Colorado that he plans to build
and operate as rental cohousing.

I once read about a community in Calif that a city developed for affordable
rentals cohousing.

I'm a part of Bohn Farm Cohousing of Art and Farming where everyone will be
a homeowner.  Without rentals.  We'll be breaking ground before too long.

But I'm curious about helping the former member, who is a friend.   I'm
curious about how or if all-rental cohousing works and where it has been
tried.

This is rental units, and I don't believe they are part of any affordable
rentals programs.
