Cohousing-L Mailing List: looking for team leads for the 2019 Cohousing Conference Planning committee

Coho_L readers:

Ann Lehman (PDX Commons) and I (Capitol Hill Urban Cohousing) are co-chairing 
the 2019 National Conference which will take place in Portland, OR.

We have started meeting with the planning committee but are still looking for a 
few team leads. Most specifically someone to head up Sponsorships/Exhibitors 
and Marketing/PR.  The job descriptions are below for these positions. Please

Sponsorships & Exhibitors

Responsible for obtaining underwriting sponsorship and/or in-kind donations for 
keynote speaker; t-shirts, SWAG; meals or special events; and speaker 
travel/lodging. Works closely with Conference Chair and Executive Director. Set 
up donation levels/benefits and exhibitor fees.


Marketing Chair

Responsible for big-picture strategic thinking (what makes this year's event 
unique) as well as PR (media); in conjunction with leadership team, develops 
theme and recommends keynote speaker(s) to create a marketing angle; creates a 
promotion plan including website, email list marketing, print-collateral, press 
releases/press kits prior to conference; following up w/media outlets; 
coordinating interviews for media; sending out post-conference press releases.  
Works closely with Conference Chair, Exec Director, and staff.
