Hi - I’m Van Deist In Venice, FL, and I’m developing small, wheelchair accessible cottages for senior singles and couples. I hope to create a “pocket neighborhood “ of 6-10 cottages in which to house “Neighborly Neighbors” who agree to be interactive and supportive. In building my first model in North Port, FL, I discovered that some zoning entities require a “ minimum living area” which basically eliminates the smaller cottages which are idea for some singles. Sarasota County does not require a minimum living area, but the City of North Port does. I’m currently seeking 6-10 contiguous lots in unincorporated Sarasota County on which to build 1BR, 1BA, 2BR, 1BA, and 2BR, 2BA cottages of 624 ft2 - 900 ft2 ranging from $185K - $225K. These are smaller, more affordable homes sharing a social interface which helps residents combat isolation, give mutual support and share community. vandeist [at] msn.com Sent from my iPhone > On Jan 16, 2020, at 10:07 AM, Nancy Baughman Csuti <nancycsuti [at] > gmail.com> wrote: > > @Ty - you said "This has nothing to do with intentionally being unfair - > it's about > economics."
