Here at Nubanusit Neighborhood & Farm in NH. Thank you, EAT!
The Event Team would like to add some cheer to your Thanksgiving weekend! We
are planning a gathering Friday at 1pm where we will collectively publicly read
a Haudenosaunee Thanksgiving address to the natural world, followed by
socially distant chatting. Please sign up in the link below if you would like
to read part of this address.
The event will also include a “pie swap”! Please bring Thanksgiving pies cut
into slices and containers for you to take home pie slices. While at this point
it feels safest to have masks on the whole time, we invite people to select a
few different pieces of pie to bring home to enjoy.
Finally, we will also have do-it-yourself craft boxes to take home that once
made will bring good cheer to people in the wider community that could use a
bright and encouraging message. You can return these completed crafts over the
next few weeks to a box in the Common House. Please sign up in the google doc
for how many craft boxes you would like.
This Thanksgiving will be different for most of us, without gathering in person
with extended family and friends. We hope this event will warm your spirit and
be some nice socialization.
