Decision making problems are less about the process and more times than not, people problems. Consensus is time consuming and clunky. I’d say 99 percent of all decisions are routine. It’s the one percent that are problematic generally caused by people who put their self interests above those of the community. Consensus takes patient. People who are in a hurry and get frustrated by the inane conversation and tedious points that get brought up should take a deep breath and walk around the block a couple of times.
