Can an already built community prevent someone from buying, moving in, and joining the community (based on criteria they establish that are legal to use, whatever those might be)? Supposing I needed to stay on my meds or had a violent-crime record, what could the community do about that if they knew it when I first expressed interest? I'm thinking that it might be easier to discourage someone problematic when you're still in the forming stage, but once it's housing for sale, what recourse does the community have?
