Dear Cohousing Friends - CohoUS needs money to help us accomplish our mission. Selling donated goods or services, with the proceeds going to CohoUS can be a very effective way to raise money. Do you and/or your community have something to donate? It might be something very specific to cohousing - as one example, the amazing and very experienced Jim Leach (Wonderland Hill Development Company) will donate TEN (10)! hours of development consulting (especially useful for launching communities). Or you might be something that is helpful to your community - perhaps a night or two in a guest room that would benefit people traveling and allow you to spread the word about what wonderful homes you have? Or it might be something not specific to cohousing that you can contribute - are you a jewelry maker? An artist in wood? A photographer? We will prepare a table at the Madison Conference with visual displays helping to promote your donation. We have the donated services of an auctioneer for some of the items we might caution during the event. We are also exploring use a service like 32 Auctions so we (and you) get a broader audience. Have an idea? Get in touch with me, Liz Ryan Cole 802.274.1511 or lizryancole [at] me.com <mailto:lizryancole [at] me.com>. THANK YOU!
