My unit in Lake Claire CoHousing in Atlanta, GA has nearly doubled in value
since I bought it in 2011.  It has about quadrupled in value since being
built in 1996.  The homes in the surrounding neighborhood have increased in
value at an exponential rate.  It's actually quite troubling that our homes
in CoHousing are so expensive now.  Even though they are quite a lot less
expensive than surrounding homes, they are quickly becoming unreachable for
many many would-be cohousers and we have a lot of discussions about how to
foster housing affordability in community.
