Re: Preparing for the polycrisis?

Does the polycrisis also include over-population, a Picketty-esque
mal-distribution of wealth and income, mass emigrations born of desperate
circumstance, regressions to authortarianism, and so on?  One can argue forever
about which items from this litany of tangled woe are the origin causes, and
which are symptoms or consequences … but for me, I’m starting to wonder if the
problems created by an ceaselessly clever and prolific humanity are just plain
too hard for the human species to solve gracefully.  In this dismal context …

Is polishing up our cohousing communities part of any solution?  Or, just a
endurance strategy for those of us lucky enough to be living in cohousing?

Several cohousing communities here in Massachusetts have started thinking
about the impending "polycrisis"--the combination of climate change,
resource depletion, energy issues, etc etc. We're trying to figure out
what our communities can do to prepare, what our role might be in our
greater communities, and how to even think about what challenges we may
face. We're curious if others are thinking about this. (If you're not
tuned into "polycrisis," you might google "Welcome to the Great
Unraveling.")
