All of our teams are voluntary – whoever wants to join a team is welcome. Except for our Steering team, which is elected annually. The Finance team is a bit different in that it requires more specialized skill than other teams. I’m the only CPA in our community and I’ve been on our Finance team for 20+ years. The other members of our Finance team are an engineer (good with numbers, former bookkeeper, manages finances for a good-sized company), and a bookkeeper. For more information, see our Teams Agreement: https://www.heartwoodcohousing.com/teams.html -- Mac Thomson Heartwood Cohousing Southwest Colorado http://www.heartwoodcohousing.com "Lord, make me an instrument of Your peace Where there is hatred, let me sow love Where there is injury, pardon Where there is doubt, faith Where there is despair, hope Where there is darkness, light Where there is sadness, joy Oh divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek To be consoled . . . as to console To be understood . . . as to understand To be loved . . . as to love For it is in giving that we receive It is in pardoning, that we are pardoned It is in dying that we are born into eternal life." -- St. Francis of Assisi ********************************************************** > On Mar 25, 2024, at 11:49 AM, Marjorie Kamine <mkamine [at] gmail.com> wrote: > > To dovetail with this question, what is the typical term length for finance > team members in different cohousing situations, and how did you come up with > this?
