The **Buyer Love Letter Ban**, introduced by Assembly Bill 133 (AB 133), is 
effective from January 1, 2024. This law prohibits real estate agents from 
delivering "buyer love letters"?personal letters or notes from potential buyers 
to sellers that often attempt to emotionally appeal to the sellers, hoping to 
influence their decision.

I am also in California and was curious, so I looked this up. It is incorrect. 
AB 133 was a bill about health care data-sharing.

For those who are unaware, ChatGPT regularly hallucinates, aka gives 
plausible-sounding but fake answers. Its answers always need to be fact-checked.

Anyway, even though these "buyer love letters" are still legal in California, 
the state has taken steps to strongly discourage them - here's an article by a 
bay area realtor about it. So it is true that this kind of communication is 
increasingly being seen as a liability.
