See http://justcomm.org/jc-faq.htm#Q6.5 -------------------- FORWARDED MESSAGE FOLLOWS -------------------- Just a reminder that land "owned by the federal government" is in fact owned by all Americans. This land is OUR land. An important thing to consider especially among a group of community-minded folks with interest and experience in managing land and infrastructure in common. As we all know, communal ownership can lead to disagreements and mismanagement. But the alternative is profit-taking by private interests. I highly recommend looking into the work of Elinor Ostrom (who was awarded the Nobel Prize in Economics in 2009 and passed away in 2012) for deep exploration of effective models for collective management of shared resources.
