PS:  we are also inviting input re: appliances,  including dishwashers.  

and one of the things we did that we are happy about is to have one fridge 
only,  and one stand up freezer. 
The full size fridge has served us well.  the full size freezer is not in the 
kitchen,  it is in….the pantry, former library, former kids room………….
