Cohousing-L Mailing List: Climate Resiliency and Power Outages

Our community wants to consider how our Common House might be made more
resilient during a power outage or unknown disaster. We have a propane tank
that fuels our kitchen cook range and can charge phones. Do other
communities keep a reserve of food in their pantry to prepare meals for 1-2
weeks? Do other communities have a list of what all homes should have for
some kind of catastrophe? A supply of water, emergency clothing, solar
lanterns, etc.
