We also use a credit card that offers a rebate. We use it for master policy 
insurance dues, automatic monthly utility payments, supply runs (eg Lowe’s 
etc).  We typically don’t use it to pay vendors since they will add their own 
3% transaction fee for cc payments. 

There was some initial resistance to this idea but it’s actually worked out 
quite well.
