Hi Jim, Unfortunately the instructor for today's session let us know that she had gotten sick and would be unable to lead the workshop this afternoon so we've had to reschedule our Building Climate Resiliency workshop to next week. It will now take place on April 10th at 3pm MT. The good news is that anyone who hasn't registered yet but may be interested has another opportunity to join us! :) Please find more information on the session and register to join us here: https://cohousinginstitute.org/product/building-climate-resiliency/ Best, Carolyn Pruitt ________________________________ From: Jim Mendell <jim.mendell [at] gmail.com> Sent: Thursday, April 3, 2025 11:07:21 AM To: cohousing-l [at] cohousing.org; Carolyn Pruitt Subject: Re: [C-L]_ Thursday, April 3: Building Climate Resiliency Workshop with CohoUS Carolyn, why does the link https://cohousinginstitute.org/product/building-climate-resiliency/ say it's on April 10, but below, you say it's on April 3rd. I need to let our Sustainablity Circle know when it actually is, as currently we are thinking it's tonight. Thanks, Jim On Tue, Mar 25, 2025 at 5:01 PM Carolyn Pruitt via Cohousing-L <cohousing-l [at] cohousing.org<mailto:cohousing-l [at] cohousing.org>> wrote: Hi everyone, Thank you to those of you who contributed to the climate resiliency conversation on this listserv last week! Your insights and examples were so helpful! Like many of you, concerns around how we can help process, adapt, and prepare for the current (and future) climate challenges we face have been top of mind for us at CohoUS recently as well. On Thursday, April 3rd, at 3pm MT, CohoUS will be hosting our next event: Building Climate Resiliency. We hope the time we’ll share next week can contribute to this growing and important conversation! Led by Dr. Jen Myers, sustainability educator at the Thrive Ithaca EcoVillage Education Center, this workshop will offer tools for cohousing communities interested in all aspects of resiliency planning, from disaster preparedness to climate support groups. Dr. Myers will share a climate resiliency assessment tool developed by the Global Ecovillage Network and discuss the EcoVillage at Ithaca’s efforts to decarbonize, set benchmarks, and develop goals for climate adaptation. Participants in this interactive workshop are invited to share space with others who are feeling the weight of the climate crisis and practice strategies for community resilience building. Register now for the event at https://cohousinginstitute.org/product/building-climate-resiliency/ As with all of our one-time events, this session is free for CohoUS members! Learn more about membership here: https://cohousinginstitute.org/become-a-member/ If you have any questions, email us at cohousingassociationofus [at] gmail.com<mailto:cohousingassociationofus [at] gmail.com>. We look forward to seeing you there!
