Rachel Carson EcoVillage is a vibrant, multi-generational community inspired by 
the legacy of Rachel Carson and dedicated to sustainable living practices.  35 
homes nestled among trees in a park-like woodland that we will enjoy with our 
new neighbors. The entire development was designed to the highest standards of 
energy conservation, durability, and air quality, creating an 80% savings in 
energy usage.
Located about 11 miles north of  Pittsburgh, construction has begun and, after 
five years of planning, we are thrilled to be moving into our new homes by the 
end of the year.  

The EcoVillage, with several units still available, welcomes new households who 
would like to live in an inclusive and caring community.  Be part of the 27 
households who have already invested in the project and plan to live at our 
beautiful site.

The In-Person Event where you can meet and mingle with some of our members will 
be on Sun. May 4 beginning at 9:00 a.m.ET  and continuing throughout the day at 
a location near the Rachel Carson EcoVillage site with a view of the developing
