Cohousing-L Mailing List: policies and practices for including renters in your community?

Does your community have renters in your community?  Are they active in
community life?  This could be whole house renters, partial unit renters,
housemates, temporary rentals, etc.  Does your community have any
expectations for these residents? Do you involve them in community life and
work and if so, how?  Do you require homeowners who rent their units to
orient their renters?  Does your community grapple with the issue of
renters who are uninvolved?  I'm looking to gather information about issues
and successful strategies.
