Years ago I attended a workshop on pervious pavers for developers and
contractors sponsored by a local resurfacing contractor — an upscale with
showroom kind of place. (I think they also had a grant.) It was much more
informative than anything else I have seen because it was aimed at large
government contracts, housing developments, etc. The handouts were very
informative.

I suggest you visit the big, fancy places around you to see what is available.
And talk to developers and places that have installed the surfaces you are
considering.

Contact the Community Associations Institute (CAI) to see if they have any
regional workshops or other events locally. One problem with exterior surfaces
is that they are subject to local weather so experiences are different.

Some of the most informative conversations were over lunch between developers
from different projects. What worked and what didn’t but also the same product
from different suppliers. I don’t know how populated your area is but we had
great success in discovering some fence solutions by just driving around in an
area where there were some large universities and embassies.
