All three of my children, who are now young adults, were raised in cohousing. None of them are on this list, and as is true of most kids their age, email is not their preferred medium. I think they had good experiences growing up here at Mosaic Commons. All three are launched but at least two have said that if circumstances permitted, they would love to raise their (hypothetical future) children here. I would disagree with a previous poster who said that although there are plusses and minuses for adults, for kids it is *all good*. That might be true for three year olds or seven year olds, but being a tween or a teen is hard, and relationships are hard, and learning to navigate society and emotions and find your place is the world is hard, and none of that is less true because it happens in cohousing. Teens and tweens can be mean, they can be bullies, they can form cliques and exclude people. And in cohousing, it can be harder to escape the hard stuff because (as we all know) everyone is so up in your business all the time. So, overall, I would do it all over again for my kids, but I also don't turn a blind eye for the things that were less than perfect about the situation for them. Diana
