Has any cohousing initiative considered below-ground parking? It seems to me there are several workable designs for basement level garages that don't change the footprint of a house/unit. Garages/work areas are such desireable items that it seems a shame to sacrifice them to *fairness*. Rather than reduce the common standard to achieve fairness, why not raise the level of design to achieve the highest standard of living possible? wadlinger [at] dartmouth.edu
