Here's a brief announcement about a wonderful two-bedroom unit for sale at
Doyle Street Cohousing in Emeryville, California, the second oldest
cohousing community in North America. (that's just short hop over the Bay
Bridge to San Francisco and a couple of miles from downtown Berkeley)   I

children ranging in ages from 1 to 9 plus a teenager in college. The 2,000

terrace and a spacious landscaped patio.

one with a loft/study above, large "warehouse" windows in kitchen and
bedrooms,  skylights, wood stove  The asking price is $315,000 (Joani's
comment for those living outside the Bay Area: Believe it or not, this is a
relative bargain in the "gone crazy" housing market we are experiencing here.)
